Lavender honey roasted fig with Colston Basset cave aged stilton
Recipe:
SO simple, the recipe uses finest quality fig cheese and honey,
Set a middle shelf and preheat your oven to 200ºC
Criss cross cut the ripening figs, add a teaspoon of the stilton and drizzle over the honey in an oven proof dish.
Oven bake for 10-15 minutes until the Stilton melts and the salty sweet figgy juices start to blend, bubble and make a sauce.

Figs and blue cheese, yum. And good choice of Stilton – Colston Bassett is amazing.

These look delicious! Do you think I could get away with using white stilton? I can’t do blue cheeses…
Oh yes indeedy and goat cheeses work really well particularly with a floral honey…. yum x
