Coo …..Versatile Blogger eh?

My new bestest friend in the whole wide world (yes, I am completely that shallow for this week) has kindly nominated herbestself here for the Versatile blogger award, for which I am duly grateful.  A truly delightful blogger and nominated for loads of awards  You can see why her recent double whammy blog here, The Novice Gardener

“Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent
in others belong to us as well.” – Voltaire

Apparently you get to choose two of the following:

1: a rather elegant badge for your blog,

2: new top of the range sports car,

3: a holiday home,

4: a years supply of chocolate cake and then liposuction,

5: a Scottish piper and his band marching up and down outside your home at 6 am for a year,

6: a hosted banquet for 300 people (white tie of course).

7: Last, but not least.  Knowing that there are kindred spirits and some really nice people out there

who take the time and trouble to care and share.

I have chosen as my prizes:  1 & 7

Speech! You all shout?

Ladies and Gentleman, unaccustomed as I am to public squeaking:  I accept the Versatile Blogger badge of honour and appreciate getting to know some of the world’s grooviest foodies as my prize, lastly my thanks once again to The Novice Gardener. Thank you.

OK I’m back, I’m back.  Just took a moment there. You will, by now, have realised that I lied about the prizes.  I know liar liar pants on fire! I’m still sitting  on the naughty step dreaming of  lipo hips in a small synapse lapse.

“Courtesies of a small and trivial character are the ones which strike
deepest in the gratefully and appreciating heart.” – Henry Clay

Every little ‘like’ star ticked and follower brings such delight, thank you one and all.  x

Cutting to the chase and back in the real world for a moment from all the heady excitement.

I would just like it to be known that this is my first, and on the back of this, likely my last nomination.

So …  I Googled versatile and frankly wish I had’t.

Best case scenario:-  Little black/red dress, a reversible coat, a tractor, a sofa bed and a Swiss army pen knife.  I’m good with that. Versatile!  Then came the words dominant, submissive and alternative.

Naturally I shut the page immediately!

Well, maybe not quite that immediately, just long enough to burst into a peal of mirthless laugher, saying really a little too loud that others came in to see what all the commotion was about.  (This is the innocent who wouldn’t talk about invert sugar incase it was something a little shady)!

So swiftly moving on.

To do:

It befalls, and delights me, to forward the Versatile Blogger Award, I nominate the following bloggers,  a group of spiffing people whose work I find inspiring.  I urge you to visit their sites.

The rules for this award are:

4. Nominate up to 15 bloggers for The Versatile Blogger Award

5: I hand write in italics irrespective of dyslexia. Our Nuns were Italian and the order has subsequently returned to Rome. (sobbing)

6 I Counsel Counsel – (when top end legal professionals need to get it off their chest )

7: I was given 6 months to live 26 years ago and should be dismorphic since my body resembles a relief map of the Cairngorm Mountains. I currently have a pulse, a gin & tonic and tomorrow in my sights, so all’s good.

Should you not wish to proceed with the honour as bestowed, just know and feel appreciated as I did when The Novice Gardener nominated me.

With love and thanks to all.   x

  1. Hey there, BFF (Blogger Friends Forever)! Love this post so much! You have a way with words, and I totally love the humor you interject into it. I’ll be checking out your nominees, all unknown to me. So exciting! 🙂

  2. Well I must say I am very humbled to be nominated and that is not an easy task to do! Thank you so much for your nomination. I’m going to have go find a new evening gown to post my acceptance speech in. Gardening boots and floppy hat just won’t do. 😉

  3. Thank you for the nom nom nom nomination! Bison Bison Bison is the scientific name for what is commonly called Buffalo here on the Plains of the Midwest or the Heartland as it is affectionately called. I am very honored and grateful.
